French Toast with Quinoa and Lucky Charms™

I recently tried a fabulous breakfast that I couldn’t wait to try at home: traditional French toast, but with a twist. I made them with quinoa, one of my favorite recipes. To give them a pop of color, I decided to add Lucky Charms™ cereals.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4 slices of quinoa bread
  • 1 tablespoon powder sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup Lucky Charms™ cereal

Directions

    Heat up a frying pan on medium-high heat.

    In a bowl, add the egg, cinnamon and milk. Whisk.
  • 3
    Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture, covering both sides, and then place it in the frying pan. Cook both sides for a few minutes or until it starts to brown.

    Serve and sprinkle with powder sugar and Lucky Charms™.
