How to Make Oven-Roasted Chicken with a Mustard Glaze

Roasted chicken is quite easy to prepare. All you need is a tender chicken and the following tips. Make sure you properly clean the chicken and store it at the right temperature, or it can produce bacteria. Wash your hands, disinfect utensils with bleach and keep the chicken in the fridge while marinating. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients

  • 1 tender chicken, preferably farm raised

For the marinade

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups coarse salt
  • 3 bay leaves

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion, ground and dehydrated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, ground and dehydrated
  • 1 teaspoon black ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Glaze

  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon peach jam
  • 1 teaspoon bee honey
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

    Marinate the chicken by mixing 1 cup vinegar, 2 cups water, 2 cups coarse salt and 3 bay leaves. Use a plastic tray with a sealing cover and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours. You can also let it marinate overnight and prepare it the following day. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover juices. Put the chicken in a bowl and season with the dry condiments.

    Prepare the glaze by combining all the ingredients, and spread it on the chicken. Try to cover all of it.

    Place the chicken on a baking tray and add more dry condiments.

    Preheat oven to 420°F and cook chicken for 45-50 minutes. Remove the cover and let the chicken brown for an additional 5-10 minutes.

    Let it rest before cutting. Serve with a salad and rice or mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes.
