Beat the heat with this refreshing smoothie or batido de frutas. Serve as a snack for the kids or adults of the family; I’m sure they’ll love it! This is my favorite combination, but you can add various types of fruits and flavors according to your taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh ripe papaya
  • 2 cups milk or orange juice, according to preference
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

    In a blender, combine all the ingredients and purée on low speed for around one minute. Serve in cups or small glasses, and garnish with papaya or banana slices.

    Freeze your preferred fruit and use as a base in your smoothies – you won’t have to use ice or wait until your smoothie chills to drink.

    You can replace the sugar for honey or diabetic-friendly sweeteners.
