I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but for me a punch is synonymous with holiday parties, family get-togethers and, therefore, lots of fun! In Argentina, the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations are lighter and more relaxed. They’re usually held in people’s backyards, on the beach or in any outdoor space that calls for a get-together. It’s very hot in December on the opposite pole of the continent. For this reason, the food and drinks are very refreshing, in addition to being very delicious. The peach punch is a variety of a cold and delicious punch that is served during the holidays. The chilled drink, the freshness of the peaches and the sweet syrup create a combination of flavors that is unique and will be enjoyed by every one of your guests.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bottle Sauvignon Blanc wine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup diced peaches in syrup, strained, syrup saved
  • 1/2 cup syrup
  • 1 bottle chilled champagne

Directions

    Refrigerate champagne.

    In a bowl or bottle, place the diced peaches, the syrup, the sugar, the white wine and the chilled champagne.

    Mix all the ingredients well and refrigerate for an hour.

    You can replace both alcoholic beverages with sparkling white wine or just use champagne.

    Garnish with a lemon, orange or lime wedge.

    Serve well chilled.

    Place spoons in the glasses for the fruit.
