Hervido de piña nariñense is a typical Latin American drink enjoyed during end-of-year celebrations. Ingredients

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Aguardiente, to taste
  • Pineapple slices, for garnish

Directions

    Peel the pineapple and slice.

    Blend the fruit with the water and strain to remove pulp.

    Add the sugar and bring to a boil over low heat in a saucepan.

    Add aguardiente, to taste, and mix well.
