Drinks are an important part of our meals. Aguas frescas made with seasonal fruits are a tradition in my family. They’re delicious, refreshing and guests of all ages can enjoy them. However, we also always have a spread of different wines and drinks to prepare cocktails. I’m always searching for new drink recipes to experiment with new flavors and combinations, and lately one of the liquors I’ve used a lot is coffee. Not only is it rich and aromatic, it’s also delicious and very versatile, as you will see in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 4 oz coconut-flavored rum
  • 12 oz pineapple juice
  • Pineapple chunks to decorate

Directions

    Combine the coffee liquor, rum and pineapple juice in the blender and mix for 30 seconds until it has light foam.

    Pour into cups, decorate with pineapple and serve immediately.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
    To make it even more refreshing, add crushed ice or refrigerate the rum, coffee liquor and pineapple for one day.
  • tip 2
    You can also freeze the pineapple juice and blend it with the other ingredients to create a frappe.
