Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast or turkey
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (from 12-oz bag)
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon tomato bouillon with chicken flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup uncooked alphabet macaroni

Directions

    In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir 1 minute.

    Stir in all remaining ingredients except macaroni. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; stir in macaroni. Simmer 12 to 15 minutes or until macaroni and vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf. If desired, season to taste with salt and pepper.
