Hibiscus and Pomegranate Iced Tea

This is an easy iced tea recipe, made with pomegranate juice and dried hibiscus flowers. You can also use tea bags to prepare it if you wish. Hibiscus is also known in Latin America as flor de Jamaica. This delicious hibiscus and pomegranate iced tea has a slightly bitter flavor from the hibiscus flower and a sweet touch from the pomegranate juice; I love the combination of flavors! If you like iced tea, you will enjoy this recipe- it doesn’t require many ingredients, it’s refreshing and easy to prepare!

Ingredients

  • 7 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Ice

Directions

    In a pot over medium heat, pour three cups of water and add the hibiscus flowers.

    When the mixture begins to boil, lower the heat and cook for 10 more minutes.

    Afterwards, remove from heat and let the hibiscus water cool. Strain the liquid.

    Add the rest of the water, pomegranate juice and sugar to the infusion. Stir well and serve cold.
