In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate with Mexican snacks and delicious margari-tas. The celebration of Cinco de Mayo isn't a holiday in all of Mexico, but in the city of Puebla it's a big deal because it commemorates the victory of the Mexican army over the French, in an event known as the Battle of Puebla. It is, without a doubt, an interesting historical event and the perfect excuse to indulge in delicious tacos. All the Cinco de Mayo recipes are amazing, like these famous nachos with carnitas that I now invite you to prepare with me. Enjoy!
