During this time of year there are so many parties, outings, picnics and other outdoor activities going on. For many of these happenings, each invitee brings a dish to share and in no time at all there’s an entire banquet of different flavors to accompany the celebration. One of the recipes I like to prepare for such pot-lucks is this 5-minute dip that goes perfectly with crispy corn tortilla chips. It’s one of those recipes that can be whipped up in one cup. Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons red taco sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced avocado
  • Chopped cilantro, to taste
  • Corn tortilla chips to pair with dip

Directions

  • 1
    Combine the cream cheese and red sauce with the sour cream in a cup or bowl. Salt, to taste.

    Create layers with the diced tomato, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, black olives and avocado.

    Finish by garnishing with the finely chopped cilantro and serve with the tortilla corn chips.

    Serve, and enjoy.
