To me, in these cold days, there's nothing better than a cup of hot chocolate with cinnamon tres leches. This recipe has an irresistible combination of ingredients, and is perfect for sharing with the whole family at any time of day. The cinnamon adds a touch of smoothness and a delicious aroma to the traditional hot chocolate recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 4 oz sweet chocolate
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • To decorate: mini marshmallows and chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat until the chocolate is dissolved. Remove the cinnamon.

    Strain the mixture and return it to the stove. Beat until foamy.

    Serve in a mug and garnish with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.

    For the chocolate to be nice and frothy, beat vigorously using a molinillo (a Mexican utensil used to froth chocolate) and fill the cups halfway. Then beat the remaining chocolate and fill the cups.
