If you want to give your dinner a fabulous and spicy flavor, this coffee and chipotle gravy is perfect for you! When serving meat, the quality of the meat is just as important as having a delicious gravy to pour on top because some styles of cooking make the meat taste a bit dry without added sauces. That’s why I want to share this coffee and chipotle gravy recipe with you. I assure you this will go perfectly well with your meat. If you want, you can add more or less chipotle, depending on how spicy you want it. Enjoy!

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

Toss the shallots, garlic and thyme. Cook, stirring frequently, until the shallots and garlic are fragrant, for about 1 minute. Add the Worcestershire sauce and cook for about 1 minute. Pour in the meat broth, espresso powder, chipotle, and mix. Taste it and season with salt and pepper, if necessary. Take it to a boil, turn down the heat and continue cooking to reduce the sauce, for about 10 - 15 minutes.
